Yep we have come a fair old way, the new ones weigh less, use less power and actually work as lights! Little bit of progress for sure! 500kg of bar work, wouldn't affect the handling much

93 GQ wagon, RB30, extractors, 2 inch tough dog lift, 5 spd, A/T KO2 32's, steel winch bar, rated recovery points, red arc dual battery set up, rhino roof racks, UHF etc etc. Slow and steady might not win the race but it gets me there eventually...
Back in the day Cibie super Oscars were the lights to have , I still have a set here.
If anyone had Cibie Turinos well they were just showing off, I think most had 6" Hella
which were STD options on a XW/XY GT. Look at the price of HID driving lights
they were $2500 a pair you can buy a set of 7" HID 35 watt for $150 these days.
I'm waiting on LEDs to rule the world
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there
Today I bought a bottle of bourbon, a bottle of tequila, some Canadian club cans, a six-pack of beer and 6 sausage rolls.
Going to be a fun night.
