Apparently they went brown to hide stains. I know a bloke who still has one from the 50s in his truck and has done millions of kms.

I don't know why you are using that for a seat, its meant for transporting red wine.

So spent some more time today on the old girl. I removed the front flares ready for the wider flares. As you can see in the pic they were put on for keeps!!!
I cut the back of the front guards when I did the last build but needed to take some off the front too.
Very pleased, came up a treat.
So I can't put the flares on until I fix the dents in the quarters, all 4 quarters need some love.
Unfortunately the previous fibreglass repair got smashed and delaminated off the guard so I had to hack it off and start again. Bugger!
Got a few extra dents out and have fibreglassed again. I have also hit all the guards with the random orbital and also gave some love to the bent roof gutters too.
Passenger front guard done too.
Coming along.

Nice work Daz! I still can't get over how big those tyres are compared to your Simex's. There is way more than 2 inches there!
