I didn't rebuild mine as firstly I was not aware there was a kit you could buy and that mudski sold them. Also I picked up a second hand one for I think it was just over $100. The other thing is I am not sure if mudski sells those little plates as that was what was wrong with mine. There was a slight chamfer on the end of the gear that had gotten worse over time and the plate was jamming in there. But if mudski does sell the whole kit I still have the old pump and will prob rebuild it sometime down the track.

What is the reason for wanting to drop an inch?? Is it for better road manners or are you shrinking and it's getting harder to get in and out.

Mudski sells the kit plus also sells the bearing as the kit does not come with it...

Something I am a little ashamed of was when I got a mates shop to do a steering alignment when I did the lift the pricks just pulled the steering wheel off and moved it instead of doing it the proper way... think if I am to rebuild the pump I will set up the steering as it should be..?

Just wondering if I should drop the car and inch before doing this... sitting at 4inch at the moment.
If you have an adjustable drag link it won't take long to straighten the wheel. Also the kits I have only suit GQ's. There is no kit available for the Gu's. Throw them away jobs.
I have an exploded view of the pump too Jonathan if you need it. I can't see it being to hard a job. Six beers I reckon it would take.

Why do you want to drop an inch, I think if it is going to affect what you want to do with the steering wheel issue and you are going to do it anyway then yes do it before so you don't have to re-adjust it after again.

My brakes have been shitting me and today before heading off to work thought I would quickly bleed the brakes at the Bias valve and heaps of air came out.. went to the right caliper and pretty much only air came out... went to the left and there was some sort of fluid and thought it was a caliper seal but turned out to be a axle seal.

Mudski was out of stock so I ordered 2 from Nissan (keep one as a spare) and will try and get it done before the weekend.

As for the air in the lines I need a bit of time to do it all properly.... oh the joys of it all... need pads and machining on the fronts and would say the left rear will have oil on it so there is more cash I dont have right now..... ha ha he he heh.. ho ho blah !!!!!!!

Yeah great! Mine is the same.. I just bit the bullet and bought the Safebrake lines, going to take it to the brake shop and just get them to fix it! I can't work it out.

Went to Bursons on the way home to see about a Bendix brake pad I wanted to fit and have been told of a recent price hike in most pad suppliers.... ready for this.. Normally about $85 for good quality pads jumped to $130... FWARK !!!!

Just ordered them on line for $80... now I need to find the business card for the bloke who comes to your house and machines brake discs for cheap.

Now for some reading in the manual for the right way to bleed the brakes with the Bias valve....?
