    MAF stuffed!

So my wagon had been running abit shitty of late so I decided to clean the maf. I'd read a lot about it on the forrum and it seemed pretty basic to do.
Cleaned it out yesterday, left the sencor to dry for a few hours before putting it back in and disconnected the battery as well.
Started her up and all good!
Today the engine light had come on and won't turn off. Got it scanned and its the air flow sencor.
Just going to be done with it and replace it and never touch it again. How much am I up for $$?

Wold only suggest that as it was running shitty as you put it, it was on its last legs anyway. Just a try, but have you tried taking it out and cleaning again. i feel for you but I have done mine couple of times no drama's. Maybe it's not plugged in fully or something.

    Thanks guys...
I have OEM Nissan mafs or aftermarket mafs. Big price difference between the two. Actual difference? The packaging... Both come with warranty, both can also fail from new. Sold both OEM and aftermarket and it happens to both. ITs an electrical item, these things just happen... So your covered either way. But with the maf, this is not something you replace and forget. These should be cleaned maybe every second or third service, or depending on the conditions. Using a proper MAF cleaner which CRC make and can be had from most auto shops. Being alcohol based it will dry within minutes. So its ready to go before you ECU has been reset.
