    1998 gq

    I need to find out the timing chain settings. Can anyone help?

    post up an intro and tell us abit about yourself and the mighty GQ, polite and all

    What motor are you rebuilding BTW

    G'day Granmalyn,

    After you post up an introduction, can you clarify the make model and engine of your beast please? Maybe check the VIN number.

    The GQs last year of production was 1997 the GU started in 1998 (technically the end of 1997 I think) and used totally different engines.

    WARNING!: Do not ever use a towball as a recovery point. They are not rated and can become a deadly projectile during a recovery if they snap off, and they have done so with tragic results in the past.

    GQ's went to 1999 actually but this was in the cab chassis. There were a few GQ wagons that were lucky enough to be badged as 1998's
