Apologies series 3 zd30. Managed to get it off now just the housing without a vIce any tips there
So you cant get the sensor out? They will be tight if it hasn't been changed in a while. Large multi grips on the hex of the sensor and be gentle, yet persistent.
I have got the sensor off. Now just the blue housing under the pump that won't come off. Don't have a voice to put it in
Yeh sorry mudski I'm a bit of a spud when it comes to mechanics. Just the filter that won't budge. Am going to see if a mate has a vice i can put it in tomorrow.

if you can, bolt the unit back in its place,
get a strap type of filter remover - like a belt type thing, and use that to get the "blue housing" (the filter itself) off..........
bit of mucking around, but it would save walking to a mates to use a vice........
Tidy Whitey - 99 GU TD42Ti - Diesel Gas, (GUIV Turbo & Intercooler 8Lb boost), 33" Micky T's Baja MTZ's, Dual Batt's, Cargo Barrier, rear draws, HID Super Oscars, winch, Grinch & witch attached and more goodies to come
If your talking bout the actual filter then grab a oil filter wrench. Heaps of different styles available from all auto stores .

No worries. I just realised that the blue housing is the filter itself. Its blue in colour. Lol.
Use an old large flat blade screw driver and a hammer and use the screw driver like a chisel and tap around the lip of the filter to screw it off. Sounds like this filter has been on for a long time.
