It is great to see someone being so completely thorough. That's dedication to detail that is not often seen. How did you deal with the rust inside the chassis rails and cross beams? I water blasted the inside as much as I could then sprayed the living daylights out of it with Fishoilene which is a great tried and true rust inhibitor. Its good for all hard to get to areas although I don't know if it is available in France.
Look forward to following your progress so the more pictures the merrier.
The end result should be amazing.

Hi all,
You thought I was dead ?
NO, I come with a new project !
After researching this Gevarm Cournil 1978 it seems 5416 km on the clock, a Jeep T84 gearbox instead of the original gearbox UGO T18 borg-warner, there corrosion, but only to surface corrosion, a torn tarp to change, a bent door, scratched windshield breaks, the engine reattach to new media, it was time to start working to extend the life of this small vehicle, he made a trip to England and returned to 25 km from the house .
Once the purchase is made the way back was good, it was loaded on a carrier car.
I'll try to tell the story of this renovation in stages, taking pictures, I would have probably have questions, you can also have too, so we can share our passion, please.
The day of purchase
already ride
first disassembly, remove the cloth, the doors, hood and windshield
Here it is almost naked
Help the state of the gearbox !!!
There was even a mouse nest inside
Continue disassembly
The interior of the transfer case appears in good condition
The tank is removed and emptied
Begin treatment against corrosion
Following next time
Best regard's,
Petit caillou.

welcome back mate, looks like a very small project you have there this time round. So, you'll probably have it all finished by Sunday?????? hahahahaha
Well done on the Nissan. If this new project goes half as well it will be fantastic. Bon chance. Cheers,

welcome back! That gearbox looks nasty. Has a couple of chipped teeth by the looks of it. And straight cut gears. Noisy!!
IMO and should be taken with a grain of salt.
Great work love this thread keep up the fantastic work
This is the thread I was talking about @NissanGQ4.2
My advice is: not to follow my advice.
