    Hmmm, gotta say it's a good idea for certain spots.
    I've seen straps used in a similar fashion for the same result
    Not so good for, say, open beach, swampy ground or dunes by yourself, that is where Maxtrax etc are the go

    I can see issues if you haven't got a convenient anchor point directly behind the wheel.
    Also once you are out and have it wrapped around the wheel I can also see a hassle on occasion getting it off if you are in a cramped area.

    I'd be making a tool to fish that attachement strap out from behind the wheel as well.
    That would be a pain in the arse in Mud or Water esp with splits or other rims that only have a small opening.

    But, overall, yeah, not bad at all

    With a winch facing the wrong way, it could be a backup (no pun intended) device. I wonder how the materials perform over rocks and sticks with the weight of the vehicle on them.
