    LED light install

    Hi All,

After some thinking about LED light setups both internally and externally, especially when setting up in the dark. I decided to install
    - LED strip inside the car (Rear of car) Factory interior light is crap and don't like the chances of interior light accidentally being left on if the barn door is closed properly
    - LED strip tucked away inside the awning
    - LED light bar on the rear of the roof racks
    - 4 rocker switch panel ( location was key due to the back of the car in normally packed to the rim with a family of 5)

All these lights are running of a 2nd battery

I wasn't able to get a few photos of the awning, but will update after a trip around TAS

    Door panel removed with wiring

Door panel completed with 4 rocker narva switch panel (Narva 63190 - 4 Switch Panel)

    2 12v cig plugs connectors

    Interior LED strip mount

The led strip is mounted on the internal slot of floor trim- Fits perfectly!

Close up on interior light (This is also how its mounted on the internal strip of the awning)

5" LEd light bar, mounted at the rear of the roof racks

To give you a brief idea where the awning light went i have found this picture on the web (I do not own this picture)
The floor trim fits on a 45 degree angle when placed in the lower rail in the below picture

Fairly impressed with the overall functionality and cost
    Wiring $30
    LED Strip $15 (Ebay)
    4 Rocker switch $100
    5" light bar $40
    Floor Trim $15
    Light bar mounting bracket $15
Door Panel - Free - Thanks Mum
All done in a days work and will easily assist with lighting whilst camping

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Our old family clan tartan is Sinclair, there are way too many to memorize, even in Sinclair, which clan's is this?

Nice job. I was afraid I'd put the drawers too far back to mount the switches on the door but I did everything backwards.

I'm the same! I was looking for butterfly bolts on the hinge but there aren't any... How do you put the rug on the floor?

But seriously, Thanks for sharing and as a friendly suggestion tape up the cuts in the plastic wrap under the tartin trim. if you go on a dusty road a lot of dust will enter from there... I learnt the hard way.

    Thanks for the feed back,

Will tape up the cuts in the plastic lining,
I know everyone was going to question or comment on the tartin.

I had the choice of black material or tartin- Opted for something different- All i need now is a good floor rug that matches and a center roof console lined with the same material
