I have a game I play with telemarketing people.

I say "oh you would need to talk to the manager, would you like me to find him"
Marketer getting exited "yes please that would be good"
I say " I will find him for you, his name isn't Waite"

And put the phone down.

Sometimes they are still on the line 10 minutes later. Appeals to my sense of a fair go. LOL

I use 2 get telemarketing calls daily

Cracked the sh!ts with them one day and as soon as the said hello I put the phone up 2 the fire alarm and press the test button, don't get as many calls now and when they do ring I do the same thing

If I had the time, I would let them go through with there spill, ask a few questions and sound really interested and after about 10 minutes I'll say great product but I just don't want it. Goodbye and hang up.
There other one I did while the kids were young was as soon as they started there spill I jump in and say hang on hang on, just one sec, then I give the phone to one of the kids and tell them that it was Santa, tell him what you want for Xmas, or tell them them about your favorite superhero. Never took long for them to hang up.

Also when they knock on your door trying to get a better loan for you, I use to tell them that I don't have a loan I own this house a long with a couple others. The look on there face when you say I should be helping you with your finances is priceless, especially when your under 30 and with a couple of young kids.
