you ask what has made me angry ???
Im not angry but frustrated to boiling point !!!
I was advised by a Transmission Guru to put a tb45 GU auto box into my tb42 GQ so I went and bought one dropped it off to a transmission place to have it fitted was also told the flex plate would have to be changed due to the different size tourque converter so I did !! the GQ was supposed to be ready last Friday I went down late Friday with expectation it should be ready to find that its not and the guy didn't swap the flex plate as I instructed so he had to pull the box back out again !! I called him today in the arvo to find he has it back in and the only gear he can get movement is reverse !!!
does any one tried this conversion and had the same problem ??
if so how did u rectify the problem ??

We just had a wheel come off the car. Yesterday a shop near home removed the muddies on steel rims and replaced them with All terrains on TI alloy rims. He used the same wheel nuts and they loosened. Luckily we were going slowly as most of the 250kms we had done today where on the highway.
I called the shop and he is already trying to shirk responsibility. I had my wife and kids in the car, so I won't go quietly.
All the alloy rims have flogged out, the studs are also stripped from the loose nut/rim and when the wheel came off the the guard has dropped on to it and the passenger door is now catching on the guard.
I am pretty furious!!!

In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.

Sh*t mate. As long as everyone's ok. Have had the same thing happen and it's pretty scary stuff!
Was told when I was all good to go again that over-tightening on alloys will crush the rims and cause issues. Also will "stretch" the threads which prevents them from staying tight.
Best piece of advice is never trust anyone but yourself when it comes to tightening wheel nuts (and don't even trust yourself)! I check mine regularly now.
Again, glad everyone is ok.
