Nice rig Smooth, the silver was my second choice , but I've had a few in the past , and found the white don't show up the marks as bad , i took the piraņa management system off my last one , and will re fit it on this when i get the time , just in the process of installing the UHF cb and hf radios , brought an outback roof console to fir the icom uhf , but haven't fitted it yet , and the HF will go in the back close to the antenna , i got the kmar wheel mount antenna bracket / light / wheel spacer , ( all good stuff , but cost a bomb ) all getting done slowly

I wanted white mate but the cook wanted silver,I bought a GME TX3540S so i can mount the UHF under the dash and use the controls on the handpiece, index.jpg, I took out the stereo and installed the latest release Pioneer Avic unit,Pioneer AVIC F60DAB.jpg. Replaced the speakers with 360watt Pioneers and and AMP also, Im a bit over it but its a very nice sound even without the AMP installed yet. Can I ask what the Kaymar setup was worth and does it give you plenty or reversing light, looks like it does.

Next up is wiring up my amp, Fuse bank under dash, Anderson plug for camper trailer underneath and ARB compressor, and once I complete making my drawers ill wire up everything as per normal stuff Merits, usb,,Inverter etc and finish off the Cameras for the back, one for reversing the other for camper trailer. Just not sure which setup ill go for the rear light and spare wheel, ill be getting 33s with my 2" lift so need to make sure ill be right. The fact yours has the HF aerial and looks great id certainly consider one. (at least it leaves my options open re getting a HF)

Patience is the key mate and its killin me but as things do happen its good knowing you did ya research and didnt just jump in for the sake of it, money well saved. and you appreciate it more.

Keep us posted mate, Ive gotta sort me phone pics onto me pc as Im running pc, mob and tablet, Ill also set up a file in dropbox and send ya the link if ya want, not sure of how you do your pics but my filing is everywhere at the moment and I dont have time to sort it all out, too busy doing research on me Rig.

    Cheers Mate

ohhh i had adjustable caster bushes fitted with the lift if that makes any diff
I spoke with a few owners with 2" lift kits and also suppliers, surprisingly most owners were not offered offset/adjustable caster bushes or a wheel alignment and most suppliers did not even mention them to me. Being from mechanical and wheel align back ground, I talked to my local alignment specialist whom confirmed the need of the adjustable caster bushes after a lift, especially if higher than 2". He gets many owners of various makes asking for help after a lift. The most common complaint is unstable at speed and during turns plus wobbles

Hi Gavshe, yes , through the years I've used many brands on different models of 4x4 , tough dog , ultimate , arb , efs etc etc ,I've had plenty of issues too , also through the years I've used pedders on cars , but not had success on ifs 4x4 's with them , i have given them another chance , with the GU being older tech, and the fact they have revamped their 4x4 range , and the kit I've fitted i cant speak highly enough of , the beauty of the pedders product is your dealing with a company that specialises in suspension , they don't build bull bars , or sell snatch straps , and their stores are all over Australia , and if you have an issue you simply drive in and have it fixed , not have to have to make an appointment for 3 weeks time , and its fixed or replaced on the spot , not the we will have to send it back to the manafactures so i'am pretty happy with it , and they were smart enough to recomend the caster bushes straight up with no crap , the lift worked out to 60mm or 2.4 inches

Hi Smoothe , yes unfortunately the icom ic400 pro is not remote-able so I've had to put in the console , would love to do the sound system like you as well , but the $$$ are now running short lol , the duel battery and anderson / merit stuff will also have to wait , but its still 2 years until the trip , the hf antenna is on the rear on the kaymar stuff , which cost $ 400 ish bucks thats for the wheel spacer / light and pole / and the antenna mount , but its all high quality and worth it in my opinion , yes pc's can be a pain with pics , but all my stuff is apple , i work in the industry and get sick of repairing pc's , and i use photo bucket for all the pic hosting , your rig is looking good mate

    Hi Old Steve
I agree, Pedders and Fulcrum were first on my list when looking at lift kits. I have settled on Fulcrum for the same reason you chose Pedders, they are suspension specialists
