Horrible night with Alexander being sick so I have decided to get back into it while juggling the little man..
Supposed to be family day but everyone is a zombie.
Just starting to put everything together and run all the conduit .... I can see an end to this wiring.
Ok back into....
Was going really good this morning then ran into some small issues that took longer than they should have... frustrating.
Most of the dash is in but a couple of things stopping me from completing it and one is the shock horror of my clock not working and second which I am not sure if it has anything to do with having not wired the engine bay yet but the dash lights are not working??
I want to drive my car...... not bloody work on it.

Gotta love wiring![]()
Good luck Jono![]()
Ok funny thing this morning... decided to chuck in my old cluster and still no illumination with lights turned on but when I plugged my td cluster back in the glow light came on for a bit and the indicator lights now work plus a couple of other lights???
Only the high beam light worked before...
Still no illumination though?
Also when I turn the ignition on there is no clock but when I turn the ignition off and turn of the headlights the clock works... was the wiring different, cant imagine why??
I have not slept for 2 days thanks to a very sick little boy and now I am sick so not the right conditions to be problem solving electrics.
The bar work is ready to be picked up today so thats a plus... interested to see how it turned out.

Good news bout the bar work man, might help once you are feeling better and rested to try and work out the wiring, your brain might work better.

Doing well mate, you'll get there. A day of two off might be what you need. You'll burn yourself out working on it flat out. I took the day off yesterday and went wheeling with some mates, I'm more keen then ever to work on it again now.

I've learned that one the hard way also. It's taken me 3x as long as I expected so far. Simple jobs like putting the interior back together.. 4.5 hours later I realized it wasn't such a simple job.
I'm up to fitting the vacuum/fuel lines currently. Then it's a case of trying to tidy up the loom to wire it in and the fun job of fitting the diesel tank.
If I can lend a hand with anything just shoot me a text. I understand how frustrating time constraints are.

Also, does anyone know the size of the TD42 starter motor bolts? Mine have gone walkabout. I rang Patrolapart but they didn't know.
