    Let me put it this way, you've just thrown 10,000$ at your rig wouldn't you want piece of mind that you've made it a little bit harder to pinch and if it has, you can shut it down instantly and also track it within 5 or 10m ?? image-1977128158.jpg When i fist installed it lol

    The "sim" is inbuilt into the smart start thing and you buy the air id as its called every 12months

    I am seriously thinking about buying a few of these and stashing 3 or 4 on each car. If they steal it they won't find all of them! No power needed. Cheap, no ongoing costs. Great thing
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

    The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

    Buying what?

    I am just going to wire in a permanent 5v and connect it to an old android smart phone hidden somewhere in the car. Use the android device manager to GPS track it and the best part is it costs me nothing

    still cost you something as you will need a sim card to get reception. don't think you can get a prepaid sim for under 100 a year anymore so it's good value I think.

    I will get something fitted to my next work car. I just want to remote start so it's warm when I get in over winter or cold over summer lol. gets bloody cold where I live haha
