Mine is a 99GU but I drive like an old b@stard these days and am not too heavy on the pedal. I have very little to no traffic and roadsmare 80 to 100 kmh for 90% of the run. I alternate between adding 2 stroke oil in one tank, followed by injector cleaner each 20k. Not sure that helps but it keeps the girl a little cleaner.

Also the best figures shown by Bene and Matt are utes which 'should' be lighter but also are modifiedDon't forget that the figures given so far are from lighter GQ's. I drive Miss Daisy and rarely give it some unless needed (on sand), most hwy driving I tend to stick around 100kph as that seems to be the sweet spot on my td42. Now driving the tb42, that's a different kettle of fish all together, crap economy no matter what, where or how I drive so it's foot down and go
The uts arn't that much lighter, when I bought mine full of fuel with me in it it was 2.6t

Yep last time I put mine on the weigh bridge with an empty tray, 2 occupants and half a tank of diesel it came back at 2.7t

I have got a 2001 GU 4.2 turbo diesel Patrol wagon and I get 13 litres per 100ks with 2inch lift, steel full length ARB roof rack, with all the bells and whistle's on travelling on all-terrain 33's.
With my trip down to Victoria at Christmas time fully loaded with my wife and three children, aircon on and sitting on 110ks, I was getting between 16-17 litres per 100ks.

Before I modified it the best I got was 10.5/100 on 265 highway terrains.

Wow! Fully loaded under the same circumstances my TB42 gets 20-24L per 100km (depending on terrain). That's really surprising.....
Mind you I can get nowhere near those unloaded figures while just tooling around in it.......like Clunk suggested, it doesn't seem to matter how I drive it.....it's always thirsty......Anyway, play on......
