    radio aerial

    Hi All,
Have a broken aerial on the Patrol. Don't like the price they want at Genuine Nissan. Does anyone know if any other after market one's will fit? ie guard fit one's for other cars.
    Cheers

and just used the UHF antenna, works better imo

You can just replace the mast, you don't need to replace the whole thing, look on ebay.

TD. Where does one get a UHF AM/FM antenna and is much involved in installing? Some cheeky so and so has ripped my aerial out and taken the little metal screw that goes on top.

I bought a replacement mast off ebay, spent half an hour of my time, works like new.
And cheaper than replacing the whole unit which was my first thought.

Any 4x4 shop should be able to sell you a decent am/fm/UHF antenna.
Installation is not that hard. Antenna fits on your bulbar then join the wires with a UHF connector from
    JayCar or similar
