Zd30 engine light but no dtc's

Hi everyone. So my mate just finished a service on his 2003 pootrol and when he started it, it ran a bit rough because he must not have bled it properly. So after it pushed the air out it ran fine but the engine light was on. There was no dtcs in the system and he took it to nissan and also no dtcs present but the light is still on. Anyone had this problem or know what it is

Have you tried disconnecting the water in fuel sensor on the bottom of the fuel filter? Does this turn off the light when the engine is running?. Check that the wiring to this switch wasn't damaged when the fuel filter was replaced.

2003 model doesn't. That's where I would start based on your first post.
