Going back to work tomorrow knowing that if the owner says one wrong thing to me I will be out of a job...............my sons have both told me to stay cool, but I am a cranky old bugger that won't take s%$# from anyone

Just trying to put on some of johns front recovery points and a couple of the threads on chassis are stripped from previous owner.
I forgot about those!!!
I'm guessing the only solution to be safe is drill out larger threads for bigger bolts?
What else can you do? Helicoil wouldn't be safe...
Retapp it...
IF YA DONT GET STUCK YA AINT TRYIN HARD ENOUGH........OR YA TOOK THE CHICKEN TRACK![]()
WARNING: TOWBALLS USED WITH SNATCHSTRAPS DO KILL!!
If you tap bugger holes won't you have to drill out the recovery points? That won't be easy, I'd retap the threads the same size
I'll have to have a look but the threads are pretty much gone to the point where one holeis so bad the bolt just slides in and out.
Can't see any other way apart from going bigger.
Make up a plate with the right size nut welded on it, knock out the fubar nuts and slide the plate down into place. Like I had to do on my GU. Have a look in my account profile I have the build thread on how to do it
