    If I remember I will take some pics next to the car and where I had it not sure of exact height but was pretty high.

    I was actually surprised that it didn't bend that much Winnie.

    I sussed out some conduit at work and to get a good amount of flex without being too flexy we would need 50mm conduit and that is massive, way too big.

    Go look at cheap fishing rod blanks perfect for what you want and not too $$$ either

    Yep I think that's the go John. I'll just get a couple of cheap big hose clamps and a bit of rubber to put it on.

    This is the flag I used, pretty sure it would have been high enough and as said before it did flex a bit but not as much as I thought it would.

    This first one is obviously right on the beach and it was pretty windy just after the pics I turned to face the beach and lost my hat, which I had to chase after.
