I used some of that orange electrical condute when I did the south coast and it worked a treat. The wall is about 2-3mm thick and the pole was about 25mm thick overall. It didn't sip around too much at all and even withstood hitting branches. I will dig it out and take a pic and some true measurements for ya's. Then all you need is the flag.

That's just 25mm HD conduit, at 3m long it will be too bendy
