So far they are holding their own, Gecko has been putting it through it's pace. Just need to lengthen the straps for his Popeye arms so his hand doesn't fall off lol.

Let me know if you would like me to make 1 up for you.

I have some other styles of armguards now that I need to make up as they cover most of the forearm, just waiting on some more leather to be delivered as I am down offcuts for me knife sheathes at the moment.

My old man worked in the freezing works back in NZ and this style knife was pretty much all he used. I still have some of his old knives, that have been honed that much they're basically just spikes, and all sharper than a comic's wit!

I agree with Jas. No point buying a good knife and trying to reshape it. You're better off getting the knife you want/like and sharpening that. Crap steel= crap blade unless you know how to forge....

Those ESEE knives are excellent knives just pricey.

Just had 3 big sheets of leather delivered while Gecko was, very nice leather and will produce some good providing I don't balls up lolol.

I have nice soft black hide that will be good for your young blokes pouch TD, hunting around at the moment for some templates to mod.

Also some silver leather dye / paint came in as well for any scroll / celtic styles I end up making

I have A3 sheets with around 7 or 8 other style including strap / button fasteners etc but elastic strap / shock cord is better for quick wearing and easier to replace if needed.

Also have some larger sizes that cover most of the forearm.

There are some pics earlier in the thread of the "cheaper & easier use" versions.

Here is a pic on A4 that I haven't staryed on and the design can be changed as required.

Here are some pics of the sheath I am working on for the new Gerber Freeman, needs to be edged, shaped then a clean and polish.
