    MAXTRAX vs TRED

Hay all, was thinking of a pair of these traction tracks and was wondering if anyone out there had any experience with either brand. A quick look and I have found the 1100mm Maxtrax at a $300 a pair, with the Tred at $200 a pair. My question is I suppose is there really a $100 more quality in the Maxtrax, or just $100 more marketing. Any experience in either brand would be welcomed.

    Hi Chubba,
I've tried out both and found no difference, ended up buying Tred and saved the money.
    Cheers

I have a set of the Ridge Ryder tracks (Supercheap branded). 1100mm and were on special for $120.

Haven't used them yet, they are fairly similar in size and weight but with a slightly different tooth pattern

a mate has maxtrax and they work a treat, we helped abloke who had treads not so long ago and they didn't seem to work as well! The tyres didn't seem to grab them like the maxtrax. Just my observation though.

I found a big difference using different tread tryes with maxtrax , deep aggressive tread patterns really work best, bald road tyres will spin damaging the plastic knobs on the track/s, to do any decent compareo, the two cars would at least need the same tread pattern tyres.

IMO, save the money a just buy a decent shovel , I never bother to take my maxtrax anymore, yet my shovel lives in the car 24/7
