Yes goes into the spot of the pre filter from factory and picks up the safari snorkel.

AB can you post one of your engine bay showing the box mate?

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

In that pic the bottom tube goes through the inner guard to pick up the snorkel and the top pipe goes to the intake system

On my Patrol the snorkel comes in fwd on the inner guard and has a flexible hose connecting to the DTS Can so I would like to get one that can accept the connection from that snorkel arrgt if it is available.

Hey mate when you say forward of the guard I assume you mean like the second set up below which is the same as my set up?

Maybe wang some photos up of your current set up to help others members understand what your current set up is...

    Hi,

I don't have a photo of it looking straight into the engine bay, I have asked the guy who looks after my house to try and take a few but I do have the following 3 photos.

From LH Outside showing Snorkel, it goes through the inner guard in approx posn where coil is shown in your first photo.

    IMG_4403.JPG

This one shows the underside of the DTS Can, It is the bracket in the photo that has caused the most problem with breakages, the red hose goes from Compressor to charge air cooler inlet pipe.

    IMG_4486.JPG

Top View, the Snorkel connects to the square shaped thing by a flexible hose and the rubber one below is the compressor inlet that is supplied from the middle of the air filter can on it's underside. It is the casting that the bracket that gives the most problem is bolted to.

Here is my set up using the patroldocta airbox.

Very simple to install and you'll be able to connect up the snorkel to airbox as shown.

They are expensive though so if time is no problem then as matty mentioned keep your eye out on Ebay for the nissan version second hand. They are rare but do pop up from time to time from people upgrading.
