Pick a good brand and see what they offer for my folder I went for a bone Shcrade folder[top]
lower one is a Buck 110. very happy.
general camp knife would be my Mtec tanto tactical,[bumble bee] lol
Then my home made Big lake fillet.
plus a muliti tool or two.
But I normally take a few to see how they feel in the real world.

Also brought one of these as I have some damage on a sword I need to fix

Whats the bubble of steel in the end of the filleting knife for?? I've seen it on a few knifes and arn't sure weather its to help you keep the knife flat as a guide to help you cut evenly or what.

I really, really like that field dress kit from Gerber i think Gecko posted the other day ?? I think i might get it.... I think it should be the perfect size fir goats and sheep!?

That blade is very flexible it has another blade on the top edge, and great when you cut into the vent of a fish, I'll put a pic here later of it.
Great fillet knife, The white bit in the picture is just a point protector, most knives you buy will have this in place.
If you like the Gerber kit put it in your watch list, press see similar, and look for cheapest price

Oh ok so its just to protect the tip, dunno why i thought of it as a guide.

I bit the bullet and grabbed that gerber myth kit, looks the goods and can't wait to get it!!

Good choice now you need a Lanskey sharpening kit
and a decent steel, lol the list goes on eh

Yeah you cut a small section then use a compressor to pump air into the carcass to separate the skin off the meat.
