    Are the td42 and tb42 boxes different or just the bell housing?

    I would chip in $100 and fit the new box if that would help BA, there are a few second hand boxes on ebay.

    Its all good mate.... I will be making some changes soon and have to restructure my business and life so will get through this.

    Tell ya what though that high country driving shook a lot of my electrics about and I have to go over a few things... my damage from that trip was a mudflap bending back and electrics such as lights not working properly.

    Everything else went very well .

    What should I do... well I know what to do but have no money to do it???

    The gearbox is pissing oil out of it and needs seals put in plus it jumps out of third on its own and bites when trying to get into 2nd when 4wding..

    My original gearbox needs even more work for it to be viable.. Now Matty has offered me another gearbox but knows not of its history????

    I dont have the money at the moment to pull down a gearbox and rebuild it but the effort it takes to take out and put back in I dont want to do it for the 4th time....

    Do I take my chances on Matts gearbox?? fruit fudge sticks !!!!!!!!!

    Mate if the one in the car is Knackered then I'd try your luck with the one from Matt assuming it's the right price? Your luck has to change mate.
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

    The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

    Could you not take the best of the three boxes and make one nearly 100% and if you need an extra hand lifting and fitting the box just give me enough notice and I will be there with bells on man.
