Hi everybody! Thought i'd throw up a debrief on my 1998 4.5L petrol GU patrol I picked up a couple weekends ago. Picked up for a decently cheap price at a bit over 240000km on the clock. Pretty impressed so far but have also had to tinker with a few things to get it on the road.
When i picked it up it was running:
4" lift running Lovells springs, ProComp ES9000 shocks and a bit of superior engineering gear
33x12.5 Maxxis Bighorns
Bolt on rock sliders
Full length ARB roofrack with shovel/hi lift jack holster
ARB side and rear awnings
Wiring for a auxiliary battery system in the rear
UHF
Goals will be to:
Clean up my sliders (a little bit of surface rust condition, not very aesthetic at all) and possibly repaint my bar to black
3" exhaust system
4" stainless steel snorkel
Pair of spotties for the bullbar (accepting recommendations) and possibly 1 big or 2 small lightbars mounted to front of the roof rack
Second battery to go into the existing dual system setup
Rear bar + rear reverse/work light
And finally just some general other cosmetic changes and recovery gear setup
Full flex and tuck
