Buck will honour any knife anywhere in the world, you send them the knife and they will replace any worn or broken parts. At their descretion
If its too far gone they will replace your knife, They will email you if knife has sentimental value.
EG if my 25th anniversary is too far gone Buck may replace with 50th anniversary one. That's a great company.
I thought I was going to throw it in the bin
I'm pretty sure that Gerber are the same 3D, as far as replacement goes. I have carried a Gerber multitool for over 20 years. I wrecked the cutting blade on the pliers twice and they replaced it twice, no questions.

That's good to know, I've also notice that the Fiskar axe/log splitter has let the patent lapse
as its the same as Gerber now unless a parent co made under licence '
Do you think those Gil Hibben bowie are limited edition??

I was wondering about the similarity with the Fiskars axe and Gerbers. But sometimes the companies purchase manufacturing rights so they can make limited copies of the good designs.

As for the Bowie s being a limited edition, I would say that unless there are heaps of that particular design sold, they wont make a lot of them. As you can see on the budK site, the collection of Hibben knives they have by not only Gil but his brother as well. I am not really in to collecting knives with a view to make money. For me, I buy blades that intrigue me, through design and functionality....

I only just found out that one of my knives is work alot more that I payed for it... just have to find it...lol.

Would like to have a collection of small skinners like our Browning one.
the link is a nice bone handled skinner , but the sellers says customs would take it but I cant see why.
Nice skinner though, there are plenty that shape with different materials

I think it will be because the top edge / spine could be deemed as a 2nd edge or be turned into a 2nd edge.

Very nice though. Roo leather just came in and some nice pieces included, 2 excellent pieces which I will turn into a strop for me and Highlander.
Just need to work out whether I will block mount them or how to end them without tearing it.

Thinking of folding some thin plate over each end and the punching some mounting holes

I remember the strop the ol man had years ago, had a leather handle at the end... was stitched to the bottom of the strop and that was what you pulled on to get the tension. Google it in images... heaps of examples
