My leatherman finally arrived this is my 3rd attempt to buy one. two others were confiscated by customs.
It's bigger than I thought, about 4" closed Great sharp saw and seatbelt ripper plus window breaker,
This one goes straight in the Patrol, very happy with it,
Also just won a 3" folder with abalone shell scales, very nice Columbian knife

yes the letter from customs said the screw holding the blade was loose allowing the blade to flick open, which is against the law [flick knives]
Must be 2 custom officers with two very handy "Leatherman" knives, at least I got a refund from the seller

What C0ckheads its clearly not a flick knife. A flick knife is spring loaded. I would have been asking questions there. We can buy pocket knives here with a nib on the blade to allow for one handed opening. I'd be saying that's close to theft on customs behalf

IF YA DONT GET STUCK YA AINT TRYIN HARD ENOUGH........OR YA TOOK THE CHICKEN TRACK

It will also come under semi assisted via force eg flick of wrist or single handed opening.

Same happened to me with 2 rescue knives with a straight blade because a thumb stud on the blade to allow single handed opening but the rescue knives with a curved blade and a thumb stud was allowed.

Must be a grey area, spent all morning putting a decent edge to it,
and didn't cut myself, finished it on some wet/dry 2000. Now I need to wait
until I go away next to try it. I purchased what I thought was an Arkansas whet stone
But ended up only being the box with a normal grey aluminium oxide stone,
but it did come in a very nice cypress pine box, those Japanese stones are way too pricey for me
Here's two more I found big one is a tramotina the other was to replace one my father had, great for splicing larger rope

@ Kallen heres an idea for your knife

That boot knife is similar to the hunting knives that were seized as they were deemed to be a throwing knife
