You are talking about the outside?
ArmourALL makes it look good for a short while, it collects dust though.
Seen "wet look" tyre shine, that could do the job as well, try on a mud flap possibly.

There are aerosol packs of special bumper paint for external plastics. I did my grill with it the other week, looks awesome. Only cost 20 a can, took 2 to get the finish I wanted.
Going to be doing this over Xmas holidays. Take off all the guards, plastic back bumpers and door trims and respray them.
I have seen a heat gun used on plastic bumper. YouTube it an check it out
silicon tyre shine works well from K-Mart $4 a tin,
what I'd like to know how you get polish out of the black bits?
even tried the carwash jet up close, no go, thinking CRC and a tooth brush

Yup agree with TD here. The silicone spray has the best effect, but collects dust a bit. Works awesome as a tyre shine as well. Make surface very slippery so do not use on side steps or the black trim above the rear bumper that you might stand on (yes i'm talking from experience). It can hurt...

Dubbin black shoe polish.
Spit n Polish (You actually dont use spit anymore. Water and a cotton ball gives the best results)

Just about to jump into my next Patrol. A 2001 GU II TB45E .
WARNING!: Do not ever use a towball as a recovery point. They are not rated and can become a deadly projectile during a recovery if they snap off, and they have done so with tragic results in the past.
I tried the heat gun this morning on the plastic trims behind the rear passenger doors. It did something but not earth shattering.
In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.
