    G'day folks,

I am a little sore around the old freckle at present, the surgeon has drained the abscess "again" for the sixth time in 18 months. He has also fitted a seton drain to the abscess to help allow it to heal properly, unfortunately this thing is uncomfortable to sit on.

My surgeon has allowed my family and I to head down to Victoria to catch up with family and friends for Christmas, unfortunately, I am booked back into hospital on the 13th January 2014 for more bowel surgery.

The drain gets removed from a GP in Geelong on Friday 3rd January 2014. So i cannot guarantee if i am going to be fit enough to go 4x4 driving. I still want to catch up with everyone for a drink and a chat before you head off on your trip!

PS, i apologise for causing problems with the trip!

    Regards,

    RLI

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Yeah maybe Meetup in Geelong Central for a late afternoon BBq maybe and a catchup then everyone camping can leave in convoy and drive to Dandos to camp. Get a good drive in all day Sunday. Otherwise Paul will be under pressure to hang around when his health won't let him on Sunday. Trying to drive and to chat is tough for all.

Just trying to allow for some quality time for all. Paul would love most to go for a big drive and hang with the guys for a heap but some compromises may bring some happiness into his world for a bit.

    G'day Darren,

    A quick up-date mate!

I am just putting the final touches on the Patrol (oil-change and wash and clean the car) for the trip down to Victoria, we head off at 4.00 am tomorrow morning for Geelong.

Farkk, my arse is still sore with this dam drain installed, i will advise my health status when we arrive in Geelong late Sunday afternoon mate!

If worse comes to worse, i will catch up with members for a drink and a chat before you folks head-off 4x4 in the Otways!

PS, i will give you a call later on today mate!

    Kind regards,

    Paul
