You need to roll the air out as much as you can, once you have rolled it up with the valves open close them off and unroll it.Originally Posted by MudMap

Open the valves and continue rolling until the last bit of air is out and then do the valves back up. Job done.

I have a double swag thats always worked well for me. If its a nice night a there is a good view from a spot the car cant get Ill carry it and just roll out, to awake in the morning with a lovely view

The trick with a swag is you gotta know the golden rule. 1 wide, 2 high.
Bought some oztent gecko camp stretchers for our family camp trip cup weekend down at Inverloch . Gee my wife and I were really impressed with them . Great quality and comfy . The room underneath them when set up comes in handy for the gear and clothes .

They fold up and come with a carry case . Size about 1m long x 25cm x 25cm roughly . Very solid rated to 150 kg .

we also use camp stretchers I can't remember the brand but they are the steel frame ones BCF sell, we went with the steel ones after my brother ( 100kg ) tested them in store rodeo style. The steel definately seemed to hold up alot better than the ally ones.
I usually carry all my bedding rolled up in my swag and just throw that on top which is great when its a bit cold as it stops the cold air getting at you from beneath the stretcher. Although with a wood fired heater in the tent it's not that often that its cold.
We have the wanderer padded stretchers, we got the extra long ones, I think they are 2.2m long and 90cm wide...
