    Ironman Bullbar on a GQ

    Hi,

I recently had my alloy bullbar replaced with an ironman protector (BBT010) bullbar.
After i had the bar installed the factory/aftermarket recovery points on the chassis are covered by the bottom of the bullbar and protector plate. The bar it self does not have recovery attachment points.

I have contacted Ironman to discusses and see if they had a solution. There response was they never head of any other issues like mine and they don't design their bars to attach recovery points, Just winches.

Has anyone had similar issues with Ironman bars and found a solution ?

    Thanks

    Matt

    X2 with photos.
Pretty crappy response from Ironman if that is what they said. Perhaps they recommend towball recoveries too....

Hey mate, I would never do any recoveries by using a bull bar, get yourself some rated recovery points

Should have the OE hook still there on the drivers side or even if removed the 3 captive nuts should be there.
cant remember seeing any bar fitted on a GQ using those bolt holes

Mine fits directly to those holes but still able to fit the plates there aswell, just need longer bolts........ Which I still don't have on the drivers side.

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply's. i am not trying to recover my 4wd from a bullbar recovery point, the issue i face is that the Bull bar covers the chassis mount recovery points.

You can just see the Tow/Recovery hitch through the high lift jack point on the bar.

    GQ3.jpg
I can remove the stone plate, though if i use the recovery point with the strap under the bullbar, it will jerk the bar upwards every time i use it as a recovery point.

    GQ4.jpg
I am aware that this is a TOW point, i have not installed the rated recovery point yet.

    Thanks
    Matt
