I'll be dragging my whole tribe(the burdens)wife and 2 kids aged 13 and 10,they love camping..when ebb had her 7th she had a choice of movies or camping and we ended up camping.her b'day is the 7th july so we hope to be at the rock for it

Yes a parks pass is need I'm pretty sure. I remember the father in-law saying $45-50 for the pass..
Yea was doubtful about the dog. That's why you have in-laws..

I will be traveling with my 8yo boy Zach and 3yo daughter Amelia. We will be traveling and camping in an OzTent and towing a Camper to. Birdsville on the way and leaving the camper in Birdsville for the double crossing then using the camper through the flinders rangers for a week after the crossing.

Bring the kids for sure mate, I promise I will Never give you a hard time if your being held up by the kids. This is a pretty laid back trip and it's for the Family. Short days in the car during the crossing and maybe even a rest day in the middle somewhere depending on the weather.

Looking more and more like I just might make this trip! Feeling quite happy right now. I will probably do the double crossing with the qld convoy.

Also an idea, completely understand if people don't want to fork out even more cash, but as well as the meetup in the middle shirts, and stubbie coolers, why not make up some nissanpatrol.com.au sand flags? Just imagine 50 patrols flying the flag in a convoy!

Sand Flags!!! Bloody great idea! I made one out of a hi biz vest but a NP.com Sand Flag could be very cool. Could also be something others may buy regardless if they are coming on this trip.
