Are there any kids going along on this trip? Trying to convince my wife saying there will be play mates for the 3.5 yr old and 13 month year old daughters(currently -12 months)!!!
Wouldn't miss it for the World, can't wait!
This would be great! Working towards it.
Great Idea! I'll be watching this thread with interest.
Just can't do it damn it!!

Hi mate,
At the start there was allot of interest from QLD in the original thread. In the new thread and Poll the QLDers are a little light on, I hope a few more guys put their hand up.
I know Beneboy is heading down for it and I think Newby if he can get the time. I am meeting them in Birdsville and heading east west to the meetup. Not sure of their departure details from QLD but I think there is a QLD planning thread around somewhere.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.
I can't find the thread also mate but I'm in!!!!!!!
I will be traveling with my 8yo boy Zach and 3yo daughter Amelia. We will be traveling and camping in an OzTent and towing a Camper to. Birdsville on the way and leaving the camper in Birdsville for the double crossing then using the camper through the flinders rangers for a week after the crossing.
Bring the kids for sure mate, I promise I will Never give you a hard time if your being held up by the kids. This is a pretty laid back trip and it's for the Family. Short days in the car during the crossing and maybe even a rest day in the middle somewhere depending on the weather.
Going to be great

Have thrown you a pm mate. Atm I think there is 3 vehicles in sa heading along. Being from the lower south east I'll probably hook up with the Vic boys up the border a little. But no plans have been finalised yet..
As MR said there was a huge qld interest, but not so much atm..
There will be a lot of kids.. My 2 girls will be nearly 3.5 and 2.
So plenty of families to mingle with.
What's the go with pets? Are they allowed threw the middle being a national park??
Cheers
Kallen Westbrook
Sorry Kallen No Dogs allow in the National Park mate.
