I'm gathering information while waiting for price to drop for 2002 gu 2dr ZD30 with 160k km on the clock (not 100% sure about that)
Looking for info about checkpoints when buying 3rd hand Patrol
May be someone could direct me to forums about Patrols in harsh winter conditions, winter engine issues, rust issues etc

Welcome to the forum, good luck with the Patrol. Luckily not much snow in Australia but we do have some members from countries with harsh winters and lots of snow who could help you.
Not everyone reads the introductions but thank you for posting one up. To get a response to your question I suggest you open a new thread with a heading that includes 'Patrols in harsh winter conditions', I'm sure you'll get a response to your question.
Plenty here who can help with questions on harsh desert conditions ;-)
