Where are you getting your info mate ?

Anyway, im sorry, but you are wrong, (i have confirmed this with the owners) with while they may use recycled water for pit flushing etc, they only use fresh (tap) water for your car (20 million litres of it a year in fact)

The Pretector wash @ Rainbow Beach is one of only a few undercar washes id use, because it actually works.

There are "other" car washes with automatic under body washes around, but the other ones around town ive seen ,only seem to have "one" row of jets in the ground, and you drive backwards and forwards etc.

But after spending around $12 at the one row underbody wash, all i had was wet sand under the car, and it required pretty much just as much pressure washing as if id done nothing, after the Rainbow beach wash , i still found some small traces of sand runout, but this only took 5 min to rinse off.

I must admit I'm not a fan of the under body washes , I'd rather spend a day at home with the hose and get into every part of the car , then I know its done

Couldn't agree more. Lots and lots of low pressure water is only way for under vehicle.

I find there is still a remaining residue if only using low water pressure, (my car is all painted underneath, so i can see the discolouration) high pressure water gets this off, but you still really need to get under the car and do it by hand, even if you use the auto washer.

Yeh , a week driving on Moreton, then upside down, sand got pretty much everywhere !

But to be totally honest, hand sandblasting surface rust on the floor and other areas caused me more grief in contamination to the switches etc ,than just the beach sand.

So guys what is the best spray to use before going to Fraser next weekend? I've seen the fish oil stuff, lanolin sprays,
    Can you use CRC 5.56?

If using fish oil spray make sure you have plenty of time to let it dry ( several days at least) otherwise very very difficult to get sand off. Speaking from experience unfortunately.
