do the 3D's thing to eliminate wheel bearings 'cause that's easy. When I did a rear bearing there was no doubt. Could hear it over about 20K's..
In the disc brake assembly there are small pressed spring metal thingies (maybe just 'spring plates' or some such) that help keep the pads off the spinners. They can get out of position and cause a fairly high pitched squeal. It's not REAL loud but you can certainly hear it particularly when turning at slow speed. Pretty well silent in a straight line. Have you touched the brakes lately?
Your noise sounds more drastic than mine did/does but it's in the area and the turning adds to the similarity.
