Hey Stropp,
I agree with you about the number of tracks shown on the Hema maps BUT you can add maps to your Hema powered IPad.
I scan and calibrate all my own high country paper maps for use on my iPad. Works a treat.
I have a DIY thread on how to do it. There's a bit if a learning curve the first time but after that its a piece of pi$$. You can even convert some of the electronic OziExplorer maps to work with it too.....
Look up Memory Map, that is the software that is used to display the Hema maps.....

ALDI have an Android tablet on special for $169 on wednesday,
I'm going to get one just for stuff and giggles, the daughter has an iPad mini but I thought this thing with phone capability might be the go.
I'll let you know how it goes.
