Carb cleaner will do the job. Look for the brands that have methyl ethyl ketone in it. That stuff removes anything. Give you cancer though.
Very nice job on the build. While it's all apart id be giving everything a brush with penetrol for added protection. Leaves a nice oily film that dries within 24 hours and becomes a very durable layer that can be painted on, or left alone.

    Thank you mate,

In all case the exhaust smoke will dirty it again. I will check the valve to see if all is ok.

In France we have the Rustol, it's like Penetrol, great product to stop the rust.

    Best regards
    Petit caillou.

    Great work so far Petit,

Your skills seem to be wasted working in IT ( unless you are just as good in IT ).

You have managed to do some things that most of us wouldn't try to tackle.

    Hi happygtu,

It should be interesting to engage in the renovation, with the curiosity of thing you learn a lot and then the implementation seems simple, forums give the envy against when you are in the workshop, this n 'is not always so simple, but with perseverance we arrive at satisfactory and sometimes surprising results.

    Regards
    Pierre.

    Hi all,

Last night I put the hollow body wax in the frame to protect the interior from corrosion, this wax is liquid and sneaks into every hole of the chassis, this is the ideal product to reach difficult areas.

The project progresses, this weekend I disassembled the clutch to check, I think I'll also take the opportunity to replace the engine and transmission on the chassis.

    Best regards
    Pierre.

    Hello,

A crucial step taken yesterday to check the clutch program, change it in case it would be necessary, based engine in the chassis, it will be all ... thank you

    Ding dong: the clutch

    The clutch, must to changed.

The flywheel, ho bug that is heavy this thing before disassembly to access and change the oil seal

We took the goat and forward, er on the side perhaps, ha no it does not pass, front and front only, with a very small margin of maneuver

    Finally in place:

Tightening media box and engine mounts:

End of the joke for today, a few things to prepare before laying the body on the chassis.

See you soon for new adventures.

    Best regards
    Pierre.
