IMO no way could a 2wd make it through those creek crossings

Wow what a trip, Wilderness lodge an off shoot of australian airlines at the time had a kiosk etc at the very tip. Cypress Crk was just an overgrown timber bridge.
off the main drag, Elliot falls or twin falls was just turn right at the blue 44gal drum. No Fuel at the Jardine just a guy in speedos taking your money,.
Great hamburgers at Archer river. Two sessions in those days rolled up outside sexchange in Coen to the delight of publican opening front doors.
24 cans of VB beer was worth $96 in Bamaga, In 1988 at the Mini bar of the Travellodge in Darwin 24 VB cans were $92. Best spot in Australia to fish has to be the Bamaga wharf.
Slept on the banks of the Jardine south bound thinking it was raining, but no just Bats Pi$$ing on us all night. We video taped the whole trip, never get sick of watching it. Oh forgot to mention caught a 700mm Barra down stream from Wenlock crossing ,no bridge then. Shot 5 Tiapan in 3 minutes at camp in lakefield Nat park.
