    Roof Lining Removal

Hi guys and girls, sorry if this has been asked before

Can anyone tell me if the roof lining can be removed on a GQ without taking the front window and rear side sliding windows out ???

    Cheers

Unsure about the front mate but the rear side ones the fabric does indeed fold over the lip to the outer side of the vehicle.
But if you have a mate taking out and re-installing these windows ain't hard..
To get the out, one bloke inside pushing out and the second to catch it, start in a corner..
And to put the pack in grab some 6mm cord and run it I side the rubber edge, where the body sits.
Bloke outside applies pressure inwards and the cord gets pulled 90 degrees to the window inwards. This folds the lip inside and around the body lip.
Over lap the cord one length of the window, and a small screw driver to aid the rope and rubber around the corners.
    Plenty of lube to...

    As for the front.

Thanks Kallen, Yeh I thought that was the case with the rear after having a quick look yesterday, pretty sure its the same with the front from looking at it. Was hoping to take the lining back to the rear windows so the panel beater could do some rust repairs while the roof gets resprayed.

I believe the front window should be removed any way when they do the respray but can't see it happing

yeh not that dear but thats 80-100 bucks I could spend on something else if I don't need to remove it to get the lining out

To me to do a proper roof respray it should come out anyway but been an insurance respray I'm sure it would be done on the cheap and the window would stay in, will just have to ask them before they do it.
