I have a Detroit in the front of mine and love it. I would agree with other comments regarding the slight extra heaviness in the steering when under power, but otherwise I have absolute confidence in it. No harshness that i can identify. Also fitted the AVM Heavy Duty manual hubs. Was $699 from Just Differentials in the States.
Do air lockers not have a bit of heaviness in the steering under power?
Between Patrols ATM. Had a beaut GU with 6.5 Chev TD. Next is a GU ute with a 4.5 litre Cummins conversion and a camper on the back.
Dude. Ring them up and just tell them you want a refund. They can't refuse you a refund. They took your money, told you how long the wait is and its now double what they said. If they refuse too, tell them "I wonder what the ACCC will think of this when I tell them."
