    New steering tierod

Evenin' fellas, I have just purchased a '92 Patrol and it has a bent steering tierod. I was going to go with a fleabay aftermarket one and was looking at alternatives without spending $500 on one. After seeing a thread that mentioned them I had a look at Superior engineering and their $300 setup looks okay for what I need. Any reasons not to get this one? Thanks for any help.
    Cheers - Jeff

Hey mate, you can't go wrong with the superior engineering tie rods, drag links, superflex arms, good choice if you chose to go that way.

I would also recommend a superior engineering one. They are expensive granted, but they are made from chromoly. You'll buy it once and never bend it.

Hi mate, yes you can't go wrong mate with the Superior gear. I have a full setup of Superior gear under both my GQ and my GUIV and drive with confidence.

For your interest I have just swapped my front diff on the GQ for a GU front diff and I have a 4140 superior Tie Rod that I am looking to sell as it is not suitable for a GU diff and need to buy a GU one.

    See this link

Superior now do a 4340 instead of a 4140 but both use a female tie rod end instead of a male tie rod end which is Much Stronger too.

If your interested in upgrading and still saving a little cash then this one is for sale. It will cost me $395 to replace it for the GU front end and hoping to get $275 for this one.

    Cheers Darren

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Got the tierod from Darren and she finally goes in for rego on Monday. That's after having to replace the draglink and swaybay too as they copped it when the previous owner kissed the rock.....
