    Light bars in WA

I've done some homework, so, please don't shoot the messenger - literally. lol

This is my understanding of light bars in WA, which is why I've been so cautious.

One light bar = one spot light. Two light bars = two spot lights.

Spotlights must be mounted in pairs, so in WA, you need to have 2 light bars mounted side by side - to be legal.

One, three or five spotlights are illegal, and the maximum amount of spotlights allowed is 4. If you have a set of spotties already mounted into your headlights, you're only allowed one set of two spotties, to make up the 4 spotlights.

So, it is illegal to have only one light bar and from my understanding, you are not allowed to have one big long light bar and put a divider in the middle to separate the one to become two.

I'm lead to believe that each light bar needs their own set of wiring.

I stand to be corrected on the information I have provided - which has been in good faith.

Over here they are not too keen on multi lights on the roof.
Light bars are relatively new, Like the block off centre bit.
Sounds like you need them in pairs so you don't confuse
them with Min Min lights, lol Lot of ppl seeing one long light coming at them
might freak out do doo ldo dool

I thought they were okay to cover the centre of them? From what I understand the rule is something like this.... from 200m away they have to look like 2 seperate lights.
So really you'd only get done if you were blinding a copper coming the other way....

I have 4 hid spotties on the top of my bullbar and 42 inch light bar on the roof and never had an issue with the cops although they did fine me $100.00 for my rod holders on the bullbar...

Yea I think most cop's use common sense here. As I mentioned I've never heard of anyone being done for odd lights, all excessive or really big ones on top of the bull bar..

I was under the impression you cant have them on the roof in WA. Light beam isn't allowed to cross the line of sight. Never heard of anyone being booked for it though.
