    more LED questions

    i just recieved some flexible led light strips and am indtending to fix to bottom of my 2008 gu uts doors so i have the ground and step lit when door is open.
    How am i best to wore this up?
    to the door switch?
    to the interior light itself?
    straight to the fuse box?

    X 2 have a search can't remember who did it but certainly made things a lot brighter.
    plus you'll have left over for cargo area or other lighting jobs

    well, bit the bullet and wired the gu for led's under the door today.
    ran a fused power wire direct from the crank battery(as thats the side the main loom goes thru the firewall), then split the wire, one side to each door.
    Earthed the led via the door switch, connecting to its wire under the scuff plates on each side.

    works a treat and the MOF loves it.

    I think I would have used OE door wires and fitted
    an extra light in the foot well as well.{Cool White or red}

    Put them under the slider/ side steps so they can be utilised when the doors are shut and put them on a on/door switch so you can use them offroad great

    I like the idea of above the steps Scotty. Would give an awesome light to the sides when doing night work.. might just do that..
