Dad did a stint in the army and then the airforce swapping from Squad 13 to the 30 Squadron , think they were the Lancaster/ Beaufort bombers mainly based in Darwin
was there when it was bombed he was a radio operator,[morse code} fondly remember him tapping out messages on the kitchen table.
Few mates in my 4x4 club are ex Nam.

After my folks died my sister decided to keep everything of my parents, Including my fathers Medals
Am I able to get a second set struck so I can pass them on to my boys ???? Very frustrated this time of year

It's also sad to see real veterans adding medals that they aren't entitled to, to embellish there service.

Unfortunately, we have these squeezers living amongst us! I only attend the dawn service now to pay my respects. I only socialise with a couple of army mates at lunch at a local restaurant to avoid all the bullshit!

Folks,

Technology is fantastic these days, we can check a persons military history via various websites, mobile phones take fantastic photos, if in doubt about a suspect person wearing false and bogus medals or just plain bull-shiting there service, take a photo and send it to DVA fraud investigations or better still, ANZMI website for investigation.

I joined the army without them knowing, wearing an invisible suit on black ops....these 18 medals I have include VC, bravery bar, citation, Purple Heart blah... And I wear the Sandy beret.....
This is the BS hype they sprog and wonder why they are caught out.
