@ wine maker They are painted using natural rock crushed up ochres. As with most tells a story of how things are what they are or were created from the "dreamtime"
Wanjinas and the serpent figure a fair bit in "dreamtime " stories.
At Cuppa there are other rock Petroglphys at Hammersely Gorge, and of course the "Bradshaws" as being rubbish paintings by our Aboriginals in the Kimberleys
Had the priviledge of meeting Nipper {tribal elder] at the Rock many years ago, Would not think many full bloods left IMO Nipper was one as was Mary.
