    I didn't think that there was anything wrong the motor Is there any difference between a Ryco and Genuine Nissan air filter? The vehicles have been getting genuine services up until now when we have taken over and I was wondering if that sort of clogging of a filter is 'normal' or 'acceptable' over 10,000k?

    Coolies good to know. Is there any difference between genuine nissan air filters and ryco ones?\

    Some ryco filters are pre oiled anyway so you cant do much about it.. I service a 2010 zd30 trol ute that is loaded up that hard my 3ton molnar hoist cant lift it !!

    If that filter is from the CAT service vehicle then it probably spends a bit of time on dirt and at road construction sites so it most likely is from its environment rather than any real problem.

    That is what I was thinking twase in regards to the environmental factors blocking up the air filter. It is just ALOT of shiet to get on a filter in 10,000k
    Alitis007 our hoist is a 3.5t hoist and it can't lift it The utes come in close on 5 tonne give or take 500kg when they are loaded up. We lift half at a time and even then we need to put stands and stuff under it to keep it safe.

    Hi bohuler and welcome . My 04 DI 3 litre done the same thing between 60 and 85 thou km . Fitted a provent 200 catch can , went to caltex delo 400 15w40 semi synth oil and run an ac delco air filter now and no more greif .

    Thats what we do lol. The owner of the ute is a rigger and has a F250 and after 10k both filters on both truck are BLACK filled with crap, back to this 2010 ute i work on, it carries 4T worth of tools and bolts. It had new leafs fitted after it left the factory with a 3t upgrade and bent them, and apparently has 5t leafs in it now and it sit level loaded up and BTW it splits LT tyres lol. It pulls harder then a stock 4.2td 100 series even tho its loaded up !!!
