The LS1 conversion has started. 4.5L Engine is Sold and will come out in a couple of weeks. This conversion will not happen over night. I work 6 days a week and have 4 kids, so that takes up most of my time. I'll do bits and pieces when I get a chance. I'm looking at a finish date of around June/July. Although I want it to look factory, so I want it to be A1. So I will post up pics and info as I go.

Pics are of the Gearbox and engine after degreasing and the new sump going on.

I was actually surprised, The motor has 214 000klms on it and I could not see any signs of wear in the bores. No lip, no grooves. So I'm pretty happy with the condition of it.

    Cheers
    Troy

A bit of an update.I had the gearbox rebuilt with a stage 2 shift kit, kevlar belt, corvette servo, Z gate clutch and a billet torque converter with harden spline. I have now bolted it all together. The only issue i have is that the flange on the end of the drivers side extractor just touches a fin on the bellhousing.
