Tallarook meet up 12th &13th April 2013

Easy...... Drive north up the Hume till you get to Broadford exit, take the right turn towards Flowerdale and drive about 12km... just before you drop down into the pass there is a road on the left which takes you into the forest and on the right is Murchinson lookout where we always meet up and air down.

If you find yourself going down some really tight twisty roads you have just missed the turn off.

I will edit a map I have and post it here plus on the first page.

Still thinking I want to camp down at the dam??

That will be fine I can do some tracks on the way to the camp spot

Thats the one John... pretty tame at the moment but I have had some scary times coming down that hill in the wet?????
Its all been graded and in the dry you could do it in a dunnydoor with your burn out tyres on!!!

Got turned around going down one wet year ,laugh now but not then. seat covers followed me that day.
Plus the gutters turn from dust to quick sand

Yeah my ass end wanted to overtake me last year and I sucked up my whole seat I think???

We watched a guy in one hell of a GU tow a Pajero up it, it was like and animal!!!

Plus it tricks you because it has two stages, but unwritten law going up has right of way.
Yeah for a main sort of road you can come unstuck, I like the zig zag on reservoir track
but think its bypassed now.

After sitting in Mego's seats, Mark has decided to knuckle down and save up for a pair of his own!

No I just stupidly forgot I was on the weekend roster at my 2nd workplace...
